Mazenodian Young Inventor - Liyanadura Supun Sasipriya Silva won the GOLD AWARD (First Place) in the International Young Inventors Awards (IYIA) Ceremony organized by Indonesian Invention and Innovation Promotion Association (INNOPA). This competition was held on 9 -12 October, 2019 in Jakarta-Indonesia.
About 1700 students participated for this competition from 20 countries.
The name of the device he invented was "WALK ENHANCING SMART DEVICE" of the Patent No: LK/P/20115.

Description of the Device:-
People with walking disabilities find difficulties in performing some activities including walking independently. This invention helps to enhance the walking disabilities. This device can operate using either remote controller or a mobile phone. This advance technology muscle sensor attached to the calf of the leg using electrode pads. When the user start walks the relevant muscle of the leg will activate and the electrical pulse of muscle activation will transfer through the muscle sensor and start the motor allow the user to walk independently.
